Della Rose Norman, 73, widow of Larry Norman, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. Born in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rose Lee Weitsel and Edward Poindexter.

A former pneumatic worker with Rexroth, she was a member of Trinity Assembly of God and sang in the choir. She enjoyed being with her family, interior decorating and landscape gardening.

She is survived by children, William “Bill” Chasteen, Della Chasteen, Rhonda (Chuck “Bear”) Stephens and Sheila Jennings; step daughters, Cathy Al-Meedny and Anna Lovell; siblings, Robby Poindexter, Alan Poindexter, Lori Poindexter Johnson, Jana Poindexter Hatton, Marla Poindexter Kearns and Phillip Poindexter; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her precious dog, Princess.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Carl Kelleher. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bill Chasteen, Chuck Stephens, Joshua Norman, Christopher Lovell, Andrew Wagoner and Dewayne Stakelin. Honorary bearer will be Les Taylor. Visitation will be 12 PM till service time on Tuesday.
