Candice Marie Cains, 77, hostess at Cracker Barrel on Newtown Pike for 33 years, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018. Born in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Esther Violet Townsend Covington and Howard Coburn.

A member of Gano Baptist Church, she was dedicated to her family, both at home and at Cracker Barrel.

She is survived by her children, Tina R. Cains and Darrel E. Cains; brother, Ronald Coburn; grandson, Darrek (Holly) Cains; great grandchildren, Hayden, Louis and Chelsea Cains; numerous other family, including special niece, Mary Hutton; and other friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina G. Cains.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
