Message to the Family: Burt Davis was a man of great character, integrity, honesty, smart and intelligence, kindness, and helping others without any reservation. He was my mentor and adviser for my Ph.D program, and later became my supervisor. He was so much fun to be around and working with him was the greatest experience I have ever had. I learnt a lot from him, as he was a great teacher. The knowledge and teaching I received from him as his student, still help me to this day. He will be missed very dearly.

Message to the Family: Burt, a man of integrity, intelligence, good nature, and fortitude. I will forever have a smile and place in my heart for all your kindnesses shown and insightful conversations. It is with honor and respect to say that I have known you in this chapter of my life, thanks. To his loved ones, there is a no way to fill the whole effect of Burt's passing. Take each day, one at a time, some will be harder than others. Think of what was good and carry it forth without ending. To the lives he has touched, his legacy lives in each of us!
