Wayne Patterson, 75, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Vallonia, IN, he was the son of the late William and Evelyn Helton Patterson.

Before retirement, he ran his own wrecker and welding service. He was an Army veteran, enjoyed being at the flea market, collecting arrowheads and anvils and was an accomplished gardener, specifically with regard to elephant ear plants.

He is survived by his life partner, Marena Knuckles; step daughters, Stacy (Kyle) Hamilton and Tonya Knuckles; siblings, Geraldine Pickard, Josephine West, Betty Love, Tommy Patterson and Ralph Patterson; grandchildren, Shandi (Chris) Dale, Madison Knuckles, Jersey Hamilton, Treylen Hamilton and Micah Norton; great grandchild, Lilly Dale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son, Anthony D. Patterson; brother, Doyle Patterson and sisters, Lois Patterson and Faye Hartman.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be David Monhollen, Jimmy Martin, Patrick Hunt, John Vance, Michael Welch, Willie McKinney and Anthony Bryant. Honorary bearers will be Teddy Stephens, Kyle Hamilton and Carol Gray. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lexington Humane Society.
