Family and friends you have my deepest sympathy. This is a difficult time for most. There are basic things that can help anyone get through the pain no matter what age, gender or religious beliefs. Many have been helped with the twelve basics or just a few. You can go to jw.org and get the basics with no cost ever. See the article “Help for those who grieve “ in the magazine section. Anyone can get help and comfort.

I would like to express my sympathy in the loss of your dear loved one, Walter. The death of a loved one is one of the most painful events that can happen. Our loving Heavenly Father understands how you feel because death was not a part of his original purpose for mankind (Genesis 1:28). However, he provides comfort to help soothe the feelings of sadness and grief. Psalm 147:3 says; "He (God) heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds." The wonderful promise for the future at Revelation 21:4 is very comforting. It says; "He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." For more comfort please visit our website: jw.org and view the faith strengthening video; Is There Hope for the Dead? Click publications then videos.
