Obituary for Deidre Dawn Vance
Deidre Dawn Vance, 57, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh Tilden and Betty Jean Pollitt Kelly.
A custodian at Anne Mason Elementary School, Deidre was an avid outdoors person. She loved nature, animals and listening to music.
She is survived by her children, Misty Rose Vance and Christopher Allen Vance; sister, Carrie (Mike) Gaines; brothers, Bo (Melissa) Kelly and Lee (Tammy) Kelly; boyfriend, Dennis Smith, Lexington; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Marie Vance.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Carl Kelleher. Casket bearers will be Christopher Vance, Lee Kelly, Larry Jones, Brandon Gaines, Michael Elam, Mike Way and Dennis Smith. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
