Garnett Wayne Rains, 65, husband of Darlene Tackett Rains, passed away on Tuesday, march 12th, 2019. He was born on May 31st, 1953, son of the late Randolph “Randy” and Ellen (Stibolt) Rains. Garnett was a farmer and member of the NRA, Hartt-Parr Oliver Tractor Club and he was an avid car enthusiast. In addition to his wife, Garnett is survived his granddaughter, Skylar Rains; by one brother, Peter (Amanda) Rains; several special nephews, nieces, family and dear friends. Besides his parents, Garnett was preceded in death by his son, Gunnar W. R. Rains; two brothers, Richard Randolph Rains and John Carl Rains. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16th at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 10am until time of service at 1pm with Evangelist Marilyn Stivers officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Tackett, Eugenio Castillo, Pedro Campos, Josh Licon, Peter Rains and John Rains.
