Obituary for Lanny Robert Farris
Lanny Robert Farris, 69, husband of Donna Jean Farris, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019. Born in Georgetown, he was the son of the late James Robert “Doc” and Geneva Marshall Farris.
Lanny was a machinist with Carbide Products, Inc for 50 years. He enjoyed cards but his true passion was fishing, including a Bass Fishing Club for more than 30 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeanna Carr and Robbie Farris; step daughter, Shalene Negron; grandchildren, Delaney and Kelsey Carr and Isabella Negron; as well as numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Wright.
Funeral services will be 6 PM Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted Pastor Tim Turner. Visitation will be 4 PM till service time.
