Obituary for Peter J. Seagriff
Peter J. Seagriff, 75, husband of Regina Seagriff, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Gunn Seagriff.
A Vietnam veteran, “Pete” retired from the Marine Corps, with the rank of Sargent-Major after 30 years of service. He later started a Marine Corp League Boot Camp in the prison system in Nevada and after moving to Georgetown, served as the seafood manager at Kroger. He was a member and graduate of the Citizens Fire and Police Academies, a Kentucky Colonel, member of CERT, VFW and the Marine Corp League.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, he is survived by his brother, Michael Seagriff; sisters, Jane Coffaro, Pat Grant and Florence Lange; sisters-in-law, Sue Williamson, Fay Asher, Robyn Taylor and April Taylor; as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday.
