Roger Sheridan Jackson, 86, widower of Patsy Sims Jackson and Lois Tackett Jackson, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Born in Clintwood, VA, he was the son of the late Guy Webster and Imel Ratliff Jackson.

The former owner of NAPA-J Auto Parts in Georgetown for 49 years, he was a member of Georgetown First United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his children, Candy (Earl) Barron, Georgetown, Guy Jackson, II, Columbia, KY and Andy (Holly) Jackson, Ft. Worth, TX; sister, Adrienne Hulette, Frankfort, KY; grandchildren, Chad (Stacie) Platt, Georgetown, Brandon(Esther) Platt, Fort Belvoir, VA, Michelle Hughes, Lexington, Leslie (Michael) Wahlstrom, Traverse City, MI, and Kyle Jackson, Louisville; step grandchildren, Stacy (Brian) Ishmael, Cynthiana, Joshua (Kathryn) Bashaw, Bentonville, Arkansas, Heather (Zac) Thomas, Benbrook, TX, Matthew Bashaw, Benbrook TX, and Hannah Bashaw, Fort Worth, TX ; great grandchildren, Tatum Hughes, Lexington, Chase Platt and Amelia Platt, both of Georgetown; step great grandchildren, Lauren (Dylan) Lakes, Georgetown, Preston Ishmael, Cynthiana, Katelynn Powell, Duncan, SC, Henley Thomas, Haven Thomas, Hollynn Thomas, Huxen Thomas of Benbrook, TX, Myla Bashaw, Eleanor Bashaw, Lincoln Bashaw, William Bashaw, and Oliver Bashaw of Bentonville, AR; as well as his special friend, Janet Quillen Tackett, Lexington and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Jackson; brother-in-law, Don Hulette and step granddaughter, Teresa Arnold.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Greg Gallaher. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chad Platt, Chase Platt, Brandon Platt, Kyle Jackson, Brian Ishmael, Preston Ishmael, Dylan Lakes and Ross Boggess. Honorary bearers will be Ron Greenwell, Bruce Bryant and Charlie Grigsby. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time Friday at the funeral home.
