Obituary for Emarene "Emilie" Bridges (Honaker)
Emarene “Emilie” Bridges, widow of Jack Bridges, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2019 at the age of 101. She was a retired beautician and had volunteered at the Amen house in Georgetown for many years.
Emilie was a member of Stamping Ground Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Bill (Fern) Bridges; two grandchildren, Sarah Claypool and Craig (Audrey) Bridges; four great-grandchildren, Kenley, Harper, Hudson Claypool and Jack Bridges; two nieces, Carole Wells and Dana Fisher; and other extended loved ones. In addition to her husband, Emilie was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Juanita Honaker; her nephew, Mack Honaker; her sister, Buleah Cornett. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11am with Reverend Bruce Breeding officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Amen House, 319 East Main Street #B, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324. Emilie’s mission in life was to feed everyone she came in contact with, one chocolate cake at a time!
