Obituary for Stephanie Elizabeth Carey
Stephanie Elizabeth Carey, 85, widow of Raymond Eugene Carey, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019. Born in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Stephanie Christianson Curran.
A former nurses aide, she was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Emblem Club in Attleboro, MA. She loved to play poker and was an avid bingo player as well. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Attleboro and attended Georgetown First United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Walker-Gates (Richard), Georgetown and Susan J. Brough (Bruce Hoffman), Rock Hill, SC; sisters, Norma DeWitt of FL and Nancy Lennox, North Attleboro, MA; as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Rowland and brothers, Edward, Warren and Alan Curran.
A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday at Georgetown First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgetown First United Methodist Church.
