Obituary for Shelby Douglas Williams
Shelby Douglas Williams, 84, husband of Karen S. Williams, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020. Born in Lewis County, KY, he was the son of the late Horace and Edith Vermilion Williams.
The former owner of Williams Body Shop in Maysville, KY, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and Nascar.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Scarlett (Scott) Cornish, Shelly (Bobby) Shrout, both of Georgetown and Steven Douglas Williams; brothers, Wayne Williams, Maysville and Charles Williams, Indiana; grandchildren, Sabrina Shrout, Madison Cornish and Jordan Cornish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Wilena Hughes and Betty Ross and brothers, Wendall “Grassy” Williams, James Williams and Richard “Dick” Williams.
A memorial gathering will be 4-6 PM Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, Georgetown, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to U.K. Markey Cancer Center.
