Obituary for Arnold Leroy Parks

Arnold Leroy Parks. 68, passed away on Thursday, March 26th, 2020. He was born on April 3rd, 1951 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, son of the late Merritt Arnold and Juanona (Lowater) Parks. Arnold retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant and was a member of the VFW in both Georgetown and Versailles. He was a member of The Church of Latter Day Saints, where he enjoyed working with the church on numerous projects. Arnold enjoyed doing computer repairs and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his three children, Dio (Allison) Parks, Alvaro (Cassandra) Parks and JoAnne (Ann) Parks; a special niece, Lucy Parks; six grandchildren, Cody Parks, Austin Parks, Max Parks, Haley Parks, Olivia Parks and Alexzander Parks; two sisters, Cindy Weller and Linda Sue Sparling; three brothers, Arthur “Archie” Parks, Andy Parks and Michael Parks; the mother of his children, Daisy Mendoza; several nieces and nephews; his lifelong friends, Marvin and Judy Bloss. In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Holloway and Lola Dejournett; one brother, Alan Parks. He was a great father, a gentle man with a beautiful heart and for all that loved him, we cry because we will miss his presence. He did so much for so many. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. To abide by current guidelines facing our nation, services will be private. Memorial contributions may be directed to a Veterans service charity of the donors choice.
