Obituary for Arthur Franklin Oelhafen

Arthur “Art” Franklin Oelhafen, 73, husband of Verdena (Gill) Oelhafen, passed away on Saturday, March 28th, 2020. He was born on May 9th, 1946, son of the late Claudia Viola Suydam and Arthur Franklin Stickney. Art served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Medal. He was a member of First Christian Church. Art enjoyed being a magician and was known as “The Almost Amazing Arturo” by his fellow magicians and friends. He enjoyed working on model cars, painting, working puzzles and he was an avid reader. In addition to his wife, Art is survived by three sons, Chris Oelhafen, Arthur Oelhafen Jr. andCurtis Oelhafen; his daughter, Heather Estrada; his step-son, Tony Chamblin; his sister, Susan Frasier; his brother, Erwin Oelhafen. Services will be private.
