I am so saddened to see Eura's passing. I've been thinking about him a lot during this pandemic. I first met him in the late 1990s when he was a counselor at Comp Care in Lexington. My daughter, who was also a social worker, recommended him. She said I would like him because he was "an old hippie." He truly was one of a kind, compassionate, caring, wise and often confrontational. You couldn't get away with much in his presence. In the beginning, I often argued with him but then his wisdom somehow seeped into my soul. In another life, perhaps Eura would've been a Buddhist monk. Rest in peace, dear friend. You live on in the memories of so many you helped.

My brother Oliver (Sonny) and I was so sad to read of Butch's passing. Butch and I started in first grade together and I can't remember a nicer person I've ever met. He was always very kind like his sister Sissy that my brother went through school with. I was happy to read of the wonderful rich life he lived and I know he was happy because I know he saw only the positive. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and may the God of all comfort, comfort you now.

I just met him a little over a year ago, while renting a place up above him in sadieville. He was always so kind i would stop in and check on him and he would stand in the door way and talk to me and tell me how he had been.. He had fell right before that in Walmart parking lot in georgetown and I stood there and talked with him and the ambulance crew and followed him back to the holler to make sure he didn't have any problems making it home... My little ones where always so concerned with his well being them been so little and worried about him was so sweet they loved to wave at him and of course he always waved back they loved that... He will surely be missed..
