Obituary for Archibald William Hamilton Jr.

Archibald William “Tuck” Hamilton Jr., 76, widower of Virginia Ruth (Foster) Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020. He was born on August 15th, 1943 in Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late Archibald W. and Willa Anne (Lang) Hamilton Sr. Tuck retired from The Commonwealth of Kentucky, where he served as contact Manager for the state. He was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity. Tuck loved to read, travel, sports and studying anything history related, especially Kentucky history. He had been a Boy Scout leader for many years, being a guest lecturer and volunteering as often as he could. Tuck had served as past president of the Franklin County Food Pantry. He is survived by his children, Robin Blankenship; two sons, Mike (Shannon) Hamilton and James Hamilton; three grandchildren, Christian Blankenship, Logan Hamilton and Beatrix Blankenship; one sister, Leannah (Phillip “Bruce”) Leslie; two brothers, George Hamilton and William (Deni) Hamilton; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. There will be a Celebration of Life service held at a later date.
