Obituary for Carolyn Jane Duff (Phillips)

Carolyn Jane (Phillips) Duff, 73, widow of Donald R. Duff, passed away on Friday, May 22nd, 2020. She was born on July 20th, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sylvester and Pauline (Jenkins) Phillips. Carolyn was the owner of Duff’s Bait Shop and she enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em, loved being with her grandchildren and had an affection for animals. Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Michael E. (Tonya) Schornick Jr. and David Wayne (Rhonda) Schornick; three grandchildren, Michael E. Schornick III, Morgan R. (Tyler Sargent) Schornick and Michael D. Graves; two great-grandchildren, Benson Sargent and Sophia Sargent; two sisters, Debbie (Don) Chaudoin and Teresa (Butch) Canary; two brothers, Sylvester (Diane) Phillips and Tim (Carolyn) Phillips. In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas “Tommy” Phillips. Services will be private. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael E. Schornick III, Tyler Sargent, John “Tony” McKenzie, Robbie Wells, Joey Lusby and Belve “Peanut” Brown.
