Obituary for Randall Lee Calvert

Randall Lee Calvert, 68, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020. Born in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Burt Conway and Geneva Louise Sampson Calvert.

Randall was retired from Clark Equipment and Toyota Logistics Services. He loved cornhole, horseshoes softball, UK basketball, playing the lottery, farming and his pet cows. Devoted to his family, he could be found cheering on his grandchildren at all of their events.

He is survived by his children, Heath Randall Calvert, New Martinsville, WV, Merrideth Michelle Calvert and Tammi Leigh Calvert, both of Georgetown and Cameron (Derick) Carr-Calvert, Bowling Green, KY; brothers, Russell Calvert and Donald Calvert, both of Georgetown; grandchildren, Cameron Scott (Amy) Walters, Melissa Michelle (Manuel) True-Martinez, Andrew Tyler Calvert, Taylor Leigh Walters and Avery Peyton Winkler; great grandchildren, Manny Martinez-True, Reese Martinez-True, Maya Nicole Calvert, Mathias Martinez-True and Weston Jace Calvert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Calvert, Shirley Calvert and Connie Calvert.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. To abide by the regulations set forth by the state, we ask that all who attend the visitation please wear a mask and observe social distancing during the visitation. Services will be private. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery, conducted by Brent Uzzell. Casket bearers will be Merrideth Calvert, Tammi Calvert, Cameron Walters, Melissa True-Martinez, Taylor Walters and Manuel Martinez. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or the Alzheimer’s Association.
