Obituary for Ann Southworth (Donovan)

Ann Donovan Southworth, 84, passed away on Sunday, July 5th, 2020. She was born on October 17th, 1935 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, daughter of the late Vol and Mary (Curtis) Donovan. Ann retired from the Social Security Office in Frankfort and the Franklin County Health Department. She was a member of First Assembly Church in Frankfort, where she also worked in the First Assembly Child Care. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, she was currently making masks to help people stay safe. Ann is survived by her three sons, Bruce Southworth, Jerry (Linda) McClain and Bradley Partee; her granddaughter, Tara Richards; her great-granddaughter, Koral Richards; one nephew, Jim Covington; one niece who was like a sister to her, Pat Hamilton; her great-nephew, Jamie Hamilton; her close friends, Belinda Minor, Marilyn and Richard Young, Amy Hamilton, Michelle Grimes and Felcia and Tim Taylor; her beloved dog, Sophie. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Hamilton and Carol Joyce Covington; her brother, Henry Donovan; one nephew, James Hamilton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 11am until 1pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at 2pm at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Stamping Ground, with Reverend Bobby Baker officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Southworth, Jamie Hamilton, Jerry McClain, Bradley Partee, Richard Young and Bradford Brown.
