Karla, Kimberly , Kaye and all your families: our hearts go out to all of you. Both of us remember James fondly. Gary always thought James was the perfect neighbor since he was as quiet as Gary and he loved it when James acknowledged him with the wave of a finger when their trucks passed. But I'll always remember the day I broke a water pipe when Gary wasn't home and I came running to James, hollering that I had water shooting out into the house. I'll never forget your dad sprinting across the street and shutting the water off for me and then carefully explaining the what's and where's in case I ever needed to do that action again by myself. Gary never believed that James had talked to me to say that much - ha. But in all truth, we didn't just think he was a great neighbor, we thought he was a great guy.
