My Dear Best Friend, You are so missed !
My Own words escapes me,
I Hope These Borrowed Expressions come close.
Praying with You All George Family
I/We Love You All

Today is the day you will be laid to rest,
But you know what they say,
God only takes the best.
Everything happens for a reason,
Even if we may not agree.
Just promise to look after us,
And if you can,
Save a spot up there for me.
The thought of never seeing you again brings tears to my eyes,
And even more so,
Because all of this was such a surprise.
But we should never question what God has planned,
Sometimes it's not meant for us to understand.
So as we sit here and mourn the loss of a beloved friend,
We have to keep telling ourselves that we will meet again.

Odella and I lived in two different, small, communities in Scott County and did not meet until 8th grade at Ed Davis School. In addition to being classmates, Odella and I became friends. We graduated from Scott County High School as members of the Class of 1961 and enjoyed attending class reunions together. After high school, we went in different directions to pursue life as wives, mothers and professionals. Even though we never lived in the same city, at the same time, we never lost contact. Odella was very intelligent and throughout the years we enjoyed many thought provoking and intellectual conversations. I will always be grateful that Odella was my friend and sista.
