Obituary for Oscar Don Oliver
Oscar Don Oliver, 82, husband of Marilyn Blanche Odom Oliver, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. Born in Sheffield, AL, he was the son of the late Oscar Bay and Mary Dula Smith Oliver.
An electrical engineer with IBM and LexMark, he performed electrical work with NASA on the Space Shuttle. He was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah Oliver, Monroe, LA and Beverly Diane (Mark) Hiten, Georgetown; granddaughter, Kimberly Montgomery; great grandchildren, Annaliese and Evelyn Montgomery; and sister-in-law, Ruby Oliver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Oliver, Gilbert Oliver and Jack Oliver.
Funeral services will be private.
