Obituary for Larry Thomas McMurry
Larry Thomas McMurry, 77, husband of Mary Ann Batten McMurry, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. Born in Salvisa, KY, he was the son of the late Everett and Edith Traugott McMurry.
An Air Force veteran, Larry was retired as a Product/Sales Manager with Bosch-Rexroth. He was a long-time member of Tates Creek Christian Church, serving as a Deacon, a member of the choir as well as the Open Bible Sunday School Class. He enjoyed completing puzzles, playing a round of golf and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his brother, Dale (Brenda) McMurry; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Krissi Betterman, Jenny and Donnie Wakefield, Crystal and Jeff Nalley, Cindy McMurry and Tracy and Hal Larison; God-children, Andrew Moore and Laura Gross; in-laws, Betty McMurry and Walter “Butch” Betterman; as well as dear friends, Dennis and Janice Moore. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Linda Betterman and William McMurry.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday at Tates Creek Christian Church, conducted by Craig Lee and Mike Critchfield. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 AM til service time on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Ministries or Tates Creek Christian Church.
