Obituary for Janie Louise Smith (Moberry)
Janie Louise (Moberry) Smith, 80, beloved wife of Ronald Smith of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 9th, 2022. Janie was born January 23rd, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank Moberry and Jo Floyd (McKenny) Moberry Coners.
Janie was a retired administrative assistant for the Scott County Clerk’s Office, where she worked with the judges offices. Janie enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and being with her family and her dog “Foxy”.
In addition to her husband Ronald, Janie is survived by her children, Karen (Michael) Murphy, Roger Griffieth, Cathi (Aaron) Holt and Mark (Lindsey) Griffieth; two step-daughters, Betty Sue Caines and Rhonda Harris; twenty grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jo Ann (George) Switzer and Dora Lee Williams; two brothers, Fenton (Brenda) Fogle and Warren (Darlene) Fogle. Besides her parents, Janie was preceded in death one daughter, Darlene Griffieth. Services will be private.
