Obituary for Emery W. Addison
Emery W. Addison, 71, widower of Rosemary (Spoonamore) Addison, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was born July 2, 1951 in Beattyville, Kentucky, son of the late Henry and Marie (Wombles) Addison. Emery retired from International Paper Company, where he had been the shipping and receiving manager for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, poker, collecting comic books and he was an avid gun connoisseur.
Emery is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Addison; four grandchildren, Robert Addison, Addison Dean, Brandon Cassity and Brandy Tracy; four sisters, Joyce Bruner, Peggy Burus, Louise Hensley and Janice Bruner; three brothers, Nels Addison, James Addison and Eddie Addison; his best friend, Dave Fisher. In addition to his parents and his wife, Emery was preceded in death by his son, Emery W. “Billy” Addison and his brother, Jimmy Daryl Addison.
Emery’s Celebration Of Life visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11am until 1pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Addison, Johnny Bruner, David Bruner and Michael Bruner.
