Obituary for Roy Narshall Griffith
Roy Narshall Griffith, 79, widower of Mary Lou (Bennett) Griffith, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born on May 6, 1943 in Keokee, Virginia, son of the late Roy Lee and Ethel (Day) Griffith. Roy was a retired teacher and owned several hardware stores of the years. He was a devoted University of Kentucky sports fan and enjoyed playing poker.
Roy is survived by his three children, Jeff (Melissa Dahl) Griffith, Lisa Wilson and Mark (Danielle Daugherty) Griffith; six grandchildren, Katelyn (Kaleb) Tooker, Brandon Wilson, Hanna Griffith, Sara Griffith, Harper Griffith and Hudson Griffith; his great-grandson, Bennett Tooker; his brother, Troy Griffith. In addition to his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by his sister, Novella Howe and his son-in-law, Norman Lee Wilson II.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 27 from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Friday at 11am. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery.
