It is our goal to provide families with only the finest funeral products and services, and each of the wood caskets in our collection have been the choice of families who appreciate and desire the qualities of wood.
Wood caskets are manufactured of solid wood, or crafted from premium grade furniture wood veneer over structurally superior engineered wood. Whether you prefer the tradition of solid wood or the cost efficiency of veneer, we offer you the choice in wood caskets
The classification “hardwood” simply means that the wood comes from a leaf-bearing tree. “Softwood” comes from needle- or cone-bearing trees. Therefore, designation as hardwood is not determined solely by the consistency or surface hardness of the wood itself, but the species of tree from which it comes. Of the species used to manufacture wood caskets, all are classified as hardwoods, except pine. Although technically a softwood, pine is included in the general category referred to as “hardwood caskets.”
We offer hardwood caskets in a variety of species, including mahogany, walnut, cherry, birch, hickory, maple, oak, pecan, poplar and pine. As with furniture, the type of wood used, as well as how it is finished, will affect both the appearance and cost of the casket. The unique grain patterns found in each hardwood casket makes it original.
Below are examples of Oak, Poplar, Maple, Pecan, Cherry and Mahogany. If you have questions about any wood caskets in our collection, please come by and visit us or call us at 502-863-3550.
