Obituary for Ada Glass Emmons

Ada Glass Emmons, 88, widow of Joseph “Joe” Marion Emmons passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.A native of Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Pearlie Johnson Glass. Ada worked at the former Electric Parts and was a member of Porter Christian Church, Sadieville Homemakers, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by one brother, Estill Glass, Springboro, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; one step sister, Ollie Hedges and two special people that Ada and her late husband Joe baby sat for years, Daniel and Emily Harrison.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonzo and Tolbert Glass; one sisters, Edna Covington and two-step sisters, Lavada Thompson and Maxine McFarland.Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home by Bro. Bennie Robbins. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Danny, Larry and Barry Glass, Billy Dalzell, Wayne Lanter, Walter Ruth, Ershal Harrison and Ronnie and Tim Covington. Honorary bearers will be her friends and caregivers at Hometown Manor. Visitation will be 11:00—1:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Porter Christian Church of the Alzheimer’s Association.
