Joyce (Dunn) Switzer, 78, widow of Alonzo “Lonnie” Franklin Switzer, passed away Friday, August 28th, 2015. She was born June 5th, 1937 in Scott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Clint and Cora (Hardin) Dunn. Joyce was a member of Penn Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting in her spare time. She is survived by two daughters, Florence Newton and Debbie Bramlett; three grandchildren, Michelle (Don) Misner, Travis (Stephanie) Bramlett and Brandon (Abby) Bramlett; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Westenhofer, Hayden Westenhofer and Sarah Jo Misner; one sister, Mary Jane (Don) Atchison; two brothers, Bennie (Peggy) Dunn and Harold Dunn; a dear friend, Sue Carmickle. In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tanya Westenhofer; a grandson, Lonnie Bramlett; a brother, Donald Dunn; a son-in-law, Ed Newton. Visitation will be Monday, August 31st from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00pm with Pastor Bobby Sageser and Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Krebs, Virgil Sageser, Terry Land, Jimmy Rogers, Larry Dunn and Gary Dunn. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bennie Dunn and Harold Dunn. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass or to Penn Avenue Baptist Church.
