Carolyn Ann Johnson Barber, 72, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, February 12th, 2016. She was born October 17th, 1943 in Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sylvia (Tackett) and Everett Johnson, Sr. Carolyn was a member of Claysmill Road Baptist Church and the Scott County Senior Citizens Group. She loved to dance, play bingo and be surrounded by her devoted family and friends. Carolyn is survived by one son, Jeff (Melisa Wise) Barber; five grandchildren, Chance Barber, Brittany (Josh) Lewis, Hannah Elizabeth Barber, Josh Isaacs and Chris Isaacs; three great-grandchildren, Siris Lewis, Riley Conner and Karman Conner; her daughter-in-law, Raenell Conner; three brothers, Leron (Pam) Johnson, Jackie Johnson and Everett (Pat) Johnson, Jr. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by one son, Craig Christopher Barber; one great-granddaughter, Abriella Remedy Barber; four sisters, Ruby Covington, Mae Page, Hazel Dunn and Peggy Johnson; five brothers, Homer L. Johnson, Earl Johnson, James “Pete” Johnson, Donald Gene “Butch” Johnson and Johnny Ford Johnson. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16th from 5 to 8p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday, February 17th at 1p.m. with Brother Flynn Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Leron Johnson, Jr., Kelly Butcher, Kenneth Johnson and Billy lay. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Johnson, Everett Johnson, Jackie Johnson, Kathy Wise, Norma House, Betty Votaw, Ruth Wise and members of The Ruth Sunday School Class.
