Obituary for Walter Thomas Martin Jr.

Walter Thomas Martin, Jr., 59, passed away Monday, May 23rd, 2016. He was born September 17th, 1956 in Marion, Indiana, son of the late Nettie (Sames) and Walter Thomas Martin, Sr. Walter enjoyed fishing and scratch off lottery tickets. He is survived by two daughters, Renee (Barry) Martin and Angela (Shannon) Trent; five grandchildren, Shannon Trent, Jr., Sierea Renee Bales, Mariah Bales, Ashley Johnson and Brandon Johnson; three sisters, Brenda Martin, Jeannie (Bubbie) Banks and Ethel (Roy) Ratliff; five brothers, Ronnie Martin, Tommy Martin, Donnie Martin, David (Penny) Martin and Sterling Martin. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Wayne Martin. Visitation will be Friday, May 27th, at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 10am to 10:45am, followed by graveside services at 11am at Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Trent, Sr., Shannon Trent, Jr., Barry Martin, Russell Banks, Bubbie Banks and David Martin.
