Harry Lee Lewis, 86, husband of Emily (Willis) Lewis, passed away Saturday, September 24th, 2016. He was born November 18th, 1929 in Georgetown, Kentucky, son of the late William Matt and Bettye Lee (Green) Lewis. Harry retired from Square D Electric after thirty years with the company. He was a member of Great Crossing Missionary Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing and hunting any chance he could. In addition to his beloved wife of sixty six years, Harry is survived by six daughters, Sandra Lewis, Betty Williams, Phyllis (Duwan) Jackson, Emily (Larry) Williams, Judith (Stevie) Washington and Judy (Rocky) Hawkins; six sons, James (JoAnn) Lewis, Harry (Joyce) Lewis, Carl (Daphne) Lewis, Russell (Kathy) Lewis, Tony (Sicerea) Lewis and Keith (Tina) Lewis; thirty four grandchildren; sixty three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Lula Taylor, Alice McCall and Hattie Willis. Besides his parents, Harry was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Andy Williams; two brothers, Jack Lewis and Major Lewis. Visitation will be Friday, September 30th at First Baptist Church from 11am until time of service at 1pm with Rev. Victor McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Harry’s grandsons. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
