Hazel Morrison Glass, 101 “and a half”, widow of Gorham Glass, passed away Saturday, November 26th, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her family. Hazel was born June 1st, 1915 in Scott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Howard and Jennie (Wainscott) Morrison. Hazel was the oldest member of Great Crossings Baptist Church with eighty four years of dedicated service to the church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, quilting and doing crossword puzzles. Hazel is survived by her son, Dale (Robin) Glass; a nephew who she raised as her second son, Don (Rodna) Southworth; two grandchildren, Alan (Alicia) Glass and Jessica (Jarred) Jones; three great-grandchildren, Will Glass, Addison Glass and Hannah Rowland; Monica Wright, special caregiver; special friend and mother of her grandchildren, Debbie Kunkel; a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Southworth and Lula Coyle; four brothers, Earl, Carl, Doc and George Morrison. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29th, from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11am with Pastor Ray Roach officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Glass, Dusty Glass, David B. Glass, Jarred Jones and Don Southworth. Honorary pallbearers will be James Bennett, Robin Glass, Monica Wright, Jessica Jones and Alicia Glass.
