Dorothy Lucille (Shelley) Schmidt, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 17th, 2017. She was born September 6th, 1928 in VeVay, Indiana, daughter of the late William M. and Kitty (McFarland) Shelley. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and embroidery and has made beautiful pieces over the years for her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph L. Schmidt, Jr.; two daughters, Joanna Louise Westergern and Susan G. Sayre; three sons, Joseph L. Schmidt III, Michael T. Morris and Larry E. Morris; three step-sons, Daniel O. Schmidt, Samuel S. Schmidt and Donald L. Schmidt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her caregiver, Sue Harer. Graveside services will be held at 11A.M. on Friday at Georgetown Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Redmon officiating.
