Obituary for James Wesley Henderson

James Wesley Henderson, 91, husband of Ethel Bailey Henderson, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017. A lifelong resident of Scott County, he was the son of the late James Robert Henderson and Sarah Burrows Henderson Hall.

A carpet installer by trade, he was well known for thinking of and helping others. He was a member of Harmony Christian Church and could be found horse trading fishing equipment at the flea market.

In addition to his wife of 67 years, he is survived by his children, Rita (Ronnie) Greene, Robert (Jeannie) Henderson and Jeff Henderson; brother, Glen Henderson; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Charles Henderson.

Funeral services will be 10 Am Saturday at Harmony Christian Church, conducted by Dr. Billy Strother. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass).
