Obituary for Cynthia Barnes

Cynthia Louise Barnes, 40, passed away Tuesday, May 1st, 2018. She was born December 14th, 1977 in Lexington, Kentucky, beloved daughter of Shiela (DeLong) and the late Gayle Barnes. Cynthia was a member of the Old Paris Road Church of God in Lexington and had a great passion for listening to gospel music every day. In addition to her mother, Cynthia is survived by her sister, Darlene Barnes Tolbert; one niece, Beth Tolbert; three nephews, Jeremy (Ashley) Tolbert, Jacob Tolbert and Caleb Tolbert; two great nieces, Pae Tolbert and Daisy Tolbert; three cousins, Vaughn (Jan) Dyer, Lisa (Richard) Bailey and Danny Dyer; several aunts and uncles and extended church family. Visitation will be Saturday, May 5th, from 11am until time of service at 1pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Whitaker and Dr. Anthony Landon officiating the service. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Tolbert, Jacob Tolbert, Caleb Tolbert, Vaughn Dyer, Danny Dyer and Brad Wilson. Serving as honorary bearers will be Roy Wilson, Jr., Rusty Ruth, Frank Young, Jr. and Richard Bailey. Memorial contributions may be directed to Old Paris Road Church of God, 1859 Old Paris Road, Lexington, Kentucky, 40505.
