Jerry Lee Stroup, 76, husband of Brenda Wright Stroup, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018. Born September 23, 1942 in South Bend, IN, he was the son of the late Wilbur Glenn and Glenice Keck Stroup.

An Air Force veteran, he was a truck driver and big UK fan. A handyman who enjoyed working outdoors, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed collecting various churches to display in his home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Chris) Price; step daughter, Carmen (Allen) Hale; brother, Glenn Stroup; sisters, Laurene Davis, Esther (Bill) Zapalski, Edith Becker and Jennie (Peter) Krumrey; grandchildren, Emma Kate and Ellie Price, Jerren and Jaden Hale; and sister-in-law Effie Roberts.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Mike Fry. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11AM till service time on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
